Drawing has always been my passion since very early childhood.

Since the 90's to the present, I am a working, community contributing freelance illustrator, graphic designer and exhibiting fine artist.

My tutoring experience started in Bonn, Germany, teaching part- time kindergarten- 4th graders ESL through English nursery rhymes, I sang and played on guitar. Back here in my native California, since 2005, I teach adults, middle and high school students traditional gestural energy drawing and...

I hired Kenny to show my son Photoshop, and my son was happy! Kenny held my son's attention for an entire hour, his mother says that's miraculous! I would hire Kenny again!

Kenny did a great job teaching Kate about some of the fine points of Illustrator. We enjoyed working with him. He was very easy to work with, pleasant and on time!

Kenny helped me get through enough hurdles to keep making more progress in Illustrator. Friends do not let friends work in Illustrator alone. Thank you so much.

Since illustrator is such a big program, it was important that my tutor, a stranger to my home, made me feel comfortable and would determine my motivation and the speed at which I could learn once I got started. I knew nothing about illustrator before Ken came into my home except that I have to learn it as quickly as possible. Ken was subjectively able to make all necessary adjustments in his teaching style to help me learn quickly, smoothly, and so we covered a lot of territory. He is really quite an excellent tutor especially for those students who are willing to learn because he has a great wealth of knowledge about graphic design and art systems.

Kenny is a very nice person, he is knowledgeable and patient. I didn't have any knowledge about Adobe Illustrator before, he got me started. Thank you!

Kenny was very helpful in regards to my specific designing questions and needs. He showed me some great tools and tricks that make designing on Illustrator faster and more professional.
- Marcy K. from Berkeley, CA
Kenny made me feel extremely comfortable and explained everything clearly. He was willing to answer all questions at any time and I fully understood the material. I'm looking forward to our next session. Thank you Kenny.

Kenny has been very responsive from the beginning of our communication. My 6 year old would like to draw better and Kenny has been very thoughtful in his approach to help him plus has helped me better understand the process by which a 6 year old can learn and thrive to become a better artist. My son is no Picasso, he just loves to draw and wants to be able to do better. Kenny was great with him, talked to him like he was a 'person' (pet peeve when people talk to my kid like he won't understand what they are saying), listened to him attentively, and seems to come prepared, with a general idea in mind of how to approach lesson. Really pleased so far and looking forward to more lessons.

Kenny was a great teacher. He showed me all that I had questions on regarding Illustrator and also provided some insight on better ways to enhance my product by the use of maybe Photoshop. I will be meeting him again to go over Photoshop. I would recommend Kenny to anyone learning. He is patient and explains himself well. He kindly provided examples and also had me drive to make sure I was understanding.

We met near the BART station and headed over to a local cafe. This was my first time meeting a tutor, so I was a bit apprehensive. Ken was totally professional and passionate. I wasn't sure what to expect as the guy comes across as very low-key, but his face lights up the more he shows you how digital art (vector/rasterized/pixels/lines) can be just as beautifully crafted as fine art. We spent the first hour going through some projects that I'm working on at work, and the last half of our session with Ken showing me some advanced work that really pushed the envelope of what Illustrator was made for. I will be booking more tutoring with Ken, and am excited to see more of his own designs and digital art.

Ken was very responsive and easy to communicate with. He was also very, very patient in explaining details on my Photoshop project. Ken not only explained what to do, but why it should be done that way. I give him my highest recommendation!
