I am a highly qualified tutor for all ages and levels of Math.

Here are my credentials:
I have earned an M.B.A. (graduating with honors) from Drexel University. I have recent experience as an Adjunct Professor of Statistics and Intermediate Algebra. I have specific experience of tutoring and preparing students (prospective teachers) to pass both the Praxis I and Praxis II math standardized test. I currently conduct SAT math preparation classes (group sessions) as well as SAT ...
Helped me start relearning the basics of pre-cal to help me with becoming more comfortable doing problems. I haven't dealt with math for numerous years, but have to start mastering Calculus. A lot more sessions will be scheduled with Ira.
- Mr. Octavia L. from Mount Laurel, NJ
Ira is a great tutor! I was struggling with the math Praxis exam I had failed it multiple times and finally I decided it was time to get a tutor because I was given a deadline that I needed to pass the praxis so I could be on track to graduate on time. I needed to raise my score about 12 points so I could pass the test. I had 5 sessions with Ira and I passed the test! I would definitely recommend Ira to anyone. He will push you but he knows your ability. Even if you think you can?t do something he pushes you because he knows you can do it!
- Brianna A. from Wenonah, NJ
Ira has been a life saver so far. We needed tutoring for my niece for upcoming school entrance exams and Ira has so far been very helpful. He has a breadth of knowledge in mathematical concepts so can really address any questions. Further he is thorough in his work and provides detailed feedback on each lessons with conceptual takeaways. Thank you Ira!
- Emmanuel B. from Mount Laurel, NJ
Ira took the time to explain basic statistical concepts. He made sure I understood the concepts we were discussing before moving onto the next thing. He?s a really great teacher!
- Giovanna T. from Hopewell Junction, NY
I had a great time being tutored by Ira. It?s amazing as he sees your mistakes or wrong thinking and helps you correct it. I am going back again. He also uses humor as other people mentioned. It was fun. Which is weird to say. Lol

Ira is helping me prepare for the PRAXIS Mathematics 5161 test. It was obvious from the first words he spoke that he knows his math. I'm happy to be working with him.
- Joellen B. from Nampa, ID
He can really get you to grasp the concept by a unique and partly joking way about him. He is kind, caring and takes an interest. He is also punctual, makes things convenient and definitely workable. He is very knowledgeable on the subject he is tutoring and in general. Great job!!! ??
- Catherine B. from Merchantville, NJ
Man, where to begin? Long story short...I FAILED the PRAXIS MATH 5161 3 times before finding Ira based off my moms' advice to get a tutor (listen to your mom!). Ira contacted me right away and I read some of his reviews and said: "what the heck, let's do this!". The last two tests I had stayed in the mid 140's. Those of you who are trying to pass know a 160 is the golden ticket. Well, I put in 9 sessions with Ira three weeks prior to the exam. One of the best investments I HAVE EVER made. My main struggle was with Probability. And Geometry. Straight from the jump, he took the two subjects and showed me them in ways that are fundamental to looking at and solving any problem. In fact, I am almost CERTAIN I passed the 5161 because of one of the last problems was a probability problem in which I was unfamiliar yet I heard Ira's voice say, "You gotta be kiddin' me" (in his Jersey accent). I then looked at the problem in the lens Ira teaches and... I totally got it! Ira has patience, Ira has jokes, Ira will make you laugh while keeping you on your toes. At times Ira's humor hurts, but only because it's the truth! If you are ready to (damn near) die for this test, willing to do whatever it takes, willing to look yourself in the mirror and say I need to be better each and every day...then Ira is the one to help GUIDE YOU to where you are GOING in a a TIMELY MATTER. Let's just say I would still be struggling on this absurd test had I not been with Ira. My 3rd test I got just a mere 7 on the Geometry, Probability and Discrete section. Then on my fourth test, guess what? I ALMOST doubled it to 14! (I got 13 correct on the section) large part to Ira. Ira is not your "fixall', and he will tell you that from the beginning. He will test to see if you are hungry to learn, humble enough to put your ego aside, and if so...he will feed you until you are full and have you telling yourself get better every night thereafter. Ira knows how to motivate. He also happens to have an amazingly inspirational life story. Ask his about it when the time comes. :) Ira clearly has a passion for helping others and it's not the riches one would normally assume he is after on Wyzant. The riches he desires is seeing people like myself succeed in their Math goals and follow their dreams because of his innate ability to break down mathematical concepts and foundations and use that to flat out HELP! Just do it. Trust me. Trust Ira. Ira is easily worth his weight (no pun intended!) :) Sincerely, Owen

I have only had one session so far, but it was informative. I showed up not as prepared as I could be, but he came well equipped with a study guide that he had created and it was more than enough. I am greatly appreciative of his dedication!
- Lizzy M. from North Wales, PA
My first session with Ira exceeded expectations. He agreed to meet me locally and beat me to the coffee shop. I'm an older student and have been away from serious math for some time. Ira was able to relate concepts with applications to "dumb it down" for me and help me understand where I need to focus. He kept the session light with humor. I'm looking forward to my next session with Ira this coming week.

I hired Ira for a ASVAB tutoring session, and was happy his ability to help with Math concepts. He was very responsive and easy to schedule with, and thoroughly explained what we should expect for the session and how to best prepare for it. During the session, Ira patiently made sure the student understood the concepts and explained them in different ways until it clicked. He was also very thorough with the follow up, providing homework to practice what he taught, a detailed report of what he reviewed, and also thoroughly answered all of my questions about how the session went and recommendations for next steps. I was happy with Ira's tutoring service, and would happily use him again for math help.

My son was very impressed with Ira. He said he explained Trig and Linear Math in a way he could understand. The session was so good, we scheduled Ira for another and will continue doing so until the next SAT in March. Looking forward to the results.

Pre Calculus class: He understands the subject of pre calculus. He takes a very difficult subject like calculus and make a very easy and friendly to understands, just like 1 + 1= 2. He is a very motivated tutor that enjoys teaching all the subject in math from algebra, pre-calculus, calculus and others. I will recommend him to anyone in need to learn difficult math like algebra, pre-calculus and calculus. He will focus in the areas that one's need help instead of wasting time in the areas that you are already proficient. thank yo Ira for make a believer.
- Rafael V. from Ambler, PA
Ira reviewed precalcalus concepts with Ryan who appeared to understand the material after the meeting. Some of the subjects covered were graphing functions and functions transition.
- Elizabeth D. from Mount Laurel, NJ
Ira walked me through some concepts that are found on the math SAT. He has been friendly and helpful and also patient. Just one session alone helped with improving my score, and multiple sessions helped even more.
- Brad S. from Marlton, NJ
I asked Ira to help me study for the Mathematics Content Knowledge (5161) Praxis. If you're studying for this exam and if you're not fresh out of a STEM degree or career it will probably be a challenge. It has been over a decade since I have taken a math course and I was rusty in several different areas. I had taken the Praxis 3 times before, and I had always run out of time and started rushing at the end. I asked Ira to help me get quicker. Our first meeting was intense, he showed me many ways to see patterns in algebra problems that I was unable to see before. It worked! It really helped me speed up my calculations. I was able to finish the test with a few minutes to spare and my score went up about 20 points. I highly recommend Ira for anyone looking to break out the usual way math is taught. During our first session, he told me to "spend less time memorizing and spend more time learning." His way of teaching helped me see connections and make sense of formulas so I din't have to memorize. Ira has given me valuable insight that I hope to pass on to my students.
- Rob P. from Philadelphia, PA
he was great, help me a lot and is hoping for the next time we meet! He Broke everything down and shown he method that was usefully and easy.
- Temitope S. from Langhorne, PA
Very knowledgeable in all types of mathmatics. Very patient with me. I will be using his services again before I have to take my PAPA test. I highly recommend his services
- Erik S. from Warminster, PA
Ira, is an amazing tutor. Because of him, I passed my Math Praxis one my very first try. Not only did I pass, but I got an outstanding grade. He is very knowledgable and knows his stuff! Ira also helped by identifying the areas in which I struggled most. He was very good at isolating the root of my struggles and not only helping me understand how to correct them, but why. Most importantly, he gave me the confidence I needed in order to succeed. I highly recommend him to be your tutor.
